International Mountain Adventures offers unique, exciting skiing adventures around the world!

This winter, International Mountain Adventures will focus on Japan. We will be living in Niseko for January, February and March. We have an ongoing selection of trips to ensure there is a type of trip and a time that suits you.

We love travelling to Japan for several reasons — to ski powder, eat great food and sushi, soak in natural hot springs and visit a unique culture. This is Japan. The two main areas we visit in Japan are Niseko, located in the southern region of Hokkaido, and Daisetsuzan National Park, located in the central region of Hokkaido.

Skiing with Jill and Ross Matlock in Japan was the greatest experience ever!!! The deep powder in Asahidake and Tokachidake was unbelievable! Japanese powder is a whole other world-wish it could come back to the US with me!
I would definitely recommend International Mountain Adventures to everyone, it was so much fun and having guides that knew the area and the culture really helped not feel like such a tourists. The whole trip was everything I was looking for and more-great snow, great food, great hotsprings, great EVERYTHING!
I can’t wait to go back!!!!

i have taken three great trips with Jill and one with Ross. All trips were international and everything worked ! Buses were there when needed, off and on trains without hassle, lift tickets were ready, etc. Some of the lodgings were unforgettable—a wood fired hot tub in Chile comes to mind first.

And of course, first class instruction — as much or as little as you want ! But given the level of their expertise, why not try and take you skiing up a level or two ? Three time National Extreme Champ ( Jill ) , level three instructors ( both ), past member ( Jill ) and current member ( Ross ) of the National Demo team. Both are awesome skiers, who love to teach. Bottom line: the trips are fun, a good value, and great instruction.
