My mom and I went on the Alpine Hike last week. Heather was our guide. She was fabulous! Informative and interesting to walk and talk with. It was a great little hike…felt like i could have hiked for much longer! We were lucky with the weather and with Heather’s help took some tremendous pictures. I would suggest ascending path to anyone traveling through the girdwood area.
    Thanks for the memories.

Ascending Path provided excellent service all around, starting with Celina making sure I was able to get the booking on the only day I was going to be in town. I was picked up directly from my hostel and taken outside the city for the hike. My guide Matt was very informative and a pleasure to hike with. Despite the weather not being entirely cooperative to get the city view when we went up on flat top I found the whole experience incredible. The clouds were low that day and we literally hiked up and into the clouds. I can honestly say that I went for a walk in the clouds on my vacation in Alaska! I look forward to experiencing one of their other hikes on my next trip.

We had the most amazing hike on a glacier with a fantastic and knowledgable guide. Although the weather was cloudy and rainy and we thought we will not see anything, the experience was one that we will not forget.

This was one of our favorite things about our trip to Alaska. We did the trip where you kayak across the lake along icebergs and then do a glacier hike. It was a great experience from start to finish. The company and everyone who contacted me was really cool and professional in every way. Our guide was Amy (I’m pretty sure) and she was excellent; very knowledgeable, professional and nice. I can’t say enough good things about this company and the tours themselves. They do small group tours and offer a much more enriching experience in my opinion. If you’re thinking about doing a float or hike, this is a great choice!

Our guide, Amy, was freaking fabulous! All of the other staff I emailed with in advance were kind, funny, and quick to respond to all of my questions as well! We actually got married on the glacier, with Amy officiating for us. We brought our 16 yr-old son, and this was truly the most perfect day I could have asked for!! Amy was energetic, sweet, and made SURE that we had exactly the kind of day we wanted to have. She found us the perfect spot to get married (right outside an ICE CAVE!!!) and even picked a little bouquet for me as we made our way to the glacier.
Even if we hadn’t gotten married :-), this trip easily would have been the highlight of our 3 week trip to Alaska!!
